Gia received her Script Accessible Award at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival as part of the Feature Screenplay Competition sponsored by Lonely Seal Releasing in Park City, Utah on January 28, 2010. Gia and her Slamdance award were mentioned in a number film magazines including Variety, the Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly.
