Shore Road Pictures Inc. (SRP) is an independent film & television production company founded in 2005 by Gia Milani and Tony Whalen. We are located on Canada’s beautiful east coast in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We have been diligently working towards our goal of having a successful international company that produces provocative, unconventional films that have universal appeal.
We are working on several projects. "A Dark Radius", our CBC 3-2-1 award-winning short film is complete and is beginning its festival circuit. The film, about a military woman who must save her activist sister from a sex-trafficking ring, is based on real trafficking rings currently operating on Canadian soil.
One of our features in development, "All the Wrong Reasons" has been backed in 2010 by Telefilm Canada and New Brunswick Film for a second round of development funding. It recently won the Script Accessible Award as part of the 2009 Slamdance Feature Screenplay Competition. Gia was honored on January 28th at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It has also been a semifinalist (top 100 out of 2,500 entries) in the Slamdance 2009 Feature Screenplay Competition, and in the top 20 out of over 3,000 entries, in Final Draft, Inc.’s Big Break International Screen Writing Competition. Award-winning actor/writer Jonas Chernick ("Lucid", "The Border") was the story editor on this project and has come on board as one of our executive producers.
